Global and Local Simplex Representations for Multichannel Source Separation

In our experimental study, we evaluated the performance on real-life recordings carried out at the BIU acoustic lab. In the room, a rectangular table was placed with six chairs around it. Twenty native English speakers were recorded while sitting on the chairs around the table. The signals were measured by 8 microphones that were placed around the table in 4 nodes of 2 microphones each. Two lab configurations of two reverberation levels were tested: low reverberation with T60 =150ms and high reverberation with T60 =550ms. We present audio samples for mixtures of 4 speakers with diffuse noise with SNR of 5dB or 10dB.  The noise was generated by 8 loudspeakers directed towards the walls that played babble noise.
